Chatham Distance Medley Sets Meet/School Record in Winning Morris County Invitational

NEW YORK - The Chatham boys winter track distance medley relay team of Liam Cadden, Jaylen Haye, Matt Stasiukevicius and Colin Logsdon set a school and meet record on Monday in winning the Morris County Invitational on Monday at Ocean Breeze on Staten Island.

Chatham's distance medley won by establishing a record time of 10:38.21, breaking the meet mark of 10:41.21 set last year by Morristown. The school record in the event was set in December on the same track. The four beat their own record of 10:51.67 by 13.5 seconds.

Several Chatham athletes set season and/or personal records in this final tune-up before Saturday's NJSIAA North 2, Group 3 Sectional Championship, which will be held at the Bennett Center in 'Toms River.

Chatham's Avery Brown placed third out of 117 runners in the 200-meter dash in 22.58, which represents an unofficial school record in the event.  

Other Chatham outstanding performances:

Vincent Avallone: 400 meter; 7th place out of 103. PR time of 51.53.  
Adam Oare: PR throw of 43', 6.75 inches in Shot Put. 15th place.

Bo Radaam:  1 mile run: 8th place in 4:40.06.

Jaylen Haye:  400 split in DMR:  51.1

Colin Logsdon:  1600 split on DMR:  4:25.6

Alec Gironda:  2mile run: 10:22.41
Matt Stasiukevicius:  800 split on DMR; 2:04.6
Connor Winans:  55 meter dash; 7.19
