Chatham Drops Morris County Tournament Girls Soccer Game, 2-1, in OT to Morris Hills

ROCKAWAY, NJ - Beth Kuyk converted a penalty kick to give Chatham the lead in the first half, but Morris Hills came back to win the game in overtime, 2-1, eliminating the Cougars from the Morris County Girls Soccer Tournament on Sunday.

Chatham freshman Sophia Reed was taken down inside the penalty area and Kuyk connected on the ensuing kick to give the Lady Cougars a 1-0 edge. 

Alondra Diaz scored in the second half to make it a 1-1 game and force overtime for Morris Hills. In the extra session, Frankie Perna netted a goal to win it. Caroline Viscovich finished with 11 saves in goal for Chatham.

The Lady Cougars return home Tuesday to take on Morris County rival West Morris Central at Haas Field at 4 p.m.
