Chatham Emergency Squad Tops 1,000 Pints of Donated Blood

CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham Emergency Squad held a blood collection drive and reached its 1,000th pint of blood on Saturday. The 1,000 pints were collected over a 10-year period.

Allison Albert of Chatham donated the 1,000th pint of blood, according to Sue Novak of the Chatham Emergency Squad. Albert received a gift certificate and a shirt from the squad, as did raffle winner Tara Stepanian, who also was a donor.

The drive on Saturday was one of the most successful held, with 41 pints being donated.
