Chatham Fencers Yen, Zeareban Win Medals at Sophomore Fencing Tournament

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Chatham fencers fared well at the Montclair Freshman/Sophomore Tournament held Sunday, with sophomores Darren Yen and Zak Zeareban gaining medals for the Cougars.

Yen went undefeated to win the gold medal in the Men's Sophomore Sabre and Zeareban tied for the bronz medal in the Men's Sophomore Foil.

Also, Jack Dean, senior foil co-captain for Chatham, made his debut as a fencing referee at the tournament. He directed the semifinals and gold medal bouts fore the Women's Sophomore Foil.
