CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham girls basketball earned the No. 2 seed for the Morris County Tournament and earned a first-round bye when the bracket was announced on Sunday.

Montville (12-0) is the No. 1 seed. Chatham (10-2) lost a 38-33 game at Montville on Jan. 8.

Chatham won its first-ever MCT title in 2018 and came within seconds of repeating as champions, losing the 2019 final to Morristown-Beard, 34-33, on the last-second shot (see the video below).

Chatham will play the winner of the first-round matchup between Hanover Park and Pequannock on Feb. 8.
