Chatham Girls Soccer Tops Boonton with 8-Goal Outburst in MCT

BOONTON, NJ - The Chatham girls soccer team erupted for six goals in the first half and coasted to an 8-0 victory over Boonton in the opening round of the Morris County Tournament on Saturday.

Rebecca Nickerson and Sophia Reed collected two goals apiece for the Lady Cougars (5-3), which received a goal apiece from Caroline Crouse, Emma Droner, Katie Farricker and Jen Olnowich.

Earning assists for Chatham were Nicole Smizaski and Emily Vinick, Paige Guenther, Crouse, Droner, Olnowich, Nickerson and Megan Mackessey.

Catie Owens had 14 saves for Boonton (1-8).
