Chatham Girls Track Places in Two Events at Holiday Relays

MADISON, NJ - The Chatham girls track team gained third-place finishes in the shuttle hurdles and the 4x800 meter relay on Saturday at the 33rd annual Holiday Relays held at Drew University.

Chatham's shuttle hurdles relay team of Rashida Haye, Phoebe Nichols, Leila Kirton and Simone Kirton finished third in 34.99.

The Lady Cougar 4x800 relay team of Erin Tencic, Julie Hamilton, Catherine McNiff and Alex Frenzel placed third in 10:19.50.

Chatham's high jump relay team of Tencic and Haye finished sixth in with a combined height of 9 ft.

Other notable performances for Chatham:

JV 4x200m Relay-3rd place in 2:02.91 (Julia Piness, Serena Riback, Kierra Oare, Leila Kirton)

JV 4x800m Relay-1st place in 11:11 (Kate Mirabelli, Sarah Irish, Lauren Mumby, Teresa Clark)
