Chatham Girls X-Country Third at County Championships; Best Finish in 20 Years

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - Laura Walsh, Abbie Bigham and Alex Frenzel were the top cross-country runners for Chatham as the Lady Cougars placed third at the Morris County Championships held Tuesday at Greystone Park.

Chatham established a school record with an average time of 20:11 in the 5K race, achieving its highest team finish since 1994. Randolph was first and Mendham second.

The top finishers for Chatham were: Laura Walsh-17th in 19:40; Abbie Bigham-18th in19:49; Alex Frenzel-21st in 20:02; Julie Hamilton-28th in 20:27; Kat Schmitter-38th in 20:56; Maggie Schneider-40th in 21:00; Keren Hynes-48th in 21:12.

Chatham's JV won the 5K race with 20 points and an average time of 21:50. The top Chatham runners were: Katie Steffens-2nd in 21:17; Grace Malanga-3rd in 21:50; Margaret Harrigan-4th in 21:52; Erin Tencic-5th in 22:02; Regyn Farnan-6th in 22:07; Anya Raadam-7th in 22:11; Teresa Clark-11th in 22:33.
The Chatham Freshman placed second with 41 points in the 4K race with an average of 20:03. The top Chatham runners were: Maggie Gates-7th in19:19; Ellie McAloon-8th in 19:33; Elizabeth Murray-12th in 20:08; Bella Franz-14th in 20:25; Stephanie Mahon-20th in 20:51.

Chatham's Meghan LeMon Awarded Degree from Miami University in Ohio

OXFORD, OH -- Meghan LeMon of Chatham was among more than 3,900 students from Miami University who received degrees during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Millett Hall.

LeMon graduated MAGNA with a BA degree, majoring in Speech Path & Audiology.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio.
