TINTON FALLS, NJ - Chatham High students earned third place overall and placed in a number of competitions Saturday when 22 schools and 42 teams gathered at Monmouth Regional High for the 2017 NJAAPT Physics Olympics.

Chatham students William Covino and Thomas Barrett took first place in the Target Drop while Jackie Crater and Kate Purschke took second place.

Stephanie Crater and Margaret Harrigan earned second place in the Penny Bridge while Luis Lopez gained second place in the Lightest Tower competition.

Physics students Alex Lynch, Cat DeMatos, Emily Wang, Oscar ParisMeghan Redmond, Camryn Davies and Alex Cotignola also were part of the CHS Physics Team.
