CHATHAM, NJ - Preparations are underway for the Chatham Jaycees 50th annual Christmas Tree Sale.
As was the case for the last 50 years, all proceeds from the ‘Golden Anniversary Tree Sale’ will benefit a variety of civic and charitable organizations. Some of the past recipients have included the Senior Services Center of the Chathams, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, ECLC School, Chatham Emergency Squad, the Chatham Fire Department, as well as the Chatham Library and the Chatham Community Band.
The sale will begin on Saturday, Nov. 25th and continue until the trees are all sold or Sunday, Dec. 24. The trees, along with wreaths and garland will be sold at the Jaycee’s tree lot on the corner of Main Street and Brooklake Road. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekdays from 6-9 p.m.
The Jaycee’s are a non-profit civic organization providing leadership training for young adults between the ages of 19 and 40, with emphasis on business development skills and community service. The Chatham Jaycee’s also organize the annual Fishawack Run and provide a major scholarship for a graduating Chatham High School senior. For more information contact Jim Connelly - email@example.com
