Chatham Jaycees Sponsors Art Classes at the Chatham Library

For years the Chatham Jaycees have supported the Library of The Chathams by providing a grant for summer art classes for kids. This year’s art series focused on the 2015 Summer Reading Club theme, “Every Hero Has a Story,” and classes were taught by Art Kids Academy.

On Monday, August 3, the library held an opening reception which included dozens of works that children made at the library during the three-week series of classes.

From pictures of super heroes to superhero masks, “Gotham” cityscapes to Lego-themed art projects, the colorful works are now on display and will remain available for the public to view in the Lundt Meeting Room in the basement of the library.

Special thanks to the Chatham Jaycees for their support of these art programs.
