Chatham Middle School Evacuated Tuesday Because of "Sparking" on Telephone Pole

CHATHAM, NJ - Students were evacuated from the Chatham Middle School on Tuesday afternoon as a precautionary measure after some "sparking" was discovered on a telephone pole near the school. 

According to Chatham Superintendent Dr. Michael LaSusa, "There was some sparking on one of the telephone poles located along the fence line near the Borough DPW building. The school evacuated and the fire department dealt with the issue and gave the green light to re-enter the building."
