Chatham native and FDU alum K. Michelle Powell among ten finalists for the South Carolina CofC's Human Resources Professional of the Year award

K. Michelle Powell, director of human resources client services for Select Health of South Carolina and AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies’ Southern Region, was honored among the 10 finalists at the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Professional of the Year awards reception and dinner on Feb. 6, in Columbia, S.C. This prestigious award recognizes distinguished professionals in the human resources field who make noteworthy contributions to both their organization and the community. Select Health of South Carolina, the state’s oldest and largest Medicaid managed care organization, is headquartered in North Charleston, S.C. Powell, originally from Chatham, N.J., resides on James Island in Charleston, S.C.

Register for the 41st Chatham Fishawack Run Set to Kick Off the Fishawack Festival on June 9

On June 9th the Chatham Jaycees will be holding their 41st Annual Chatham Fishawack Run starting and finishing at the Chatham Train Station.
