Chatham Pitcher Hurt by Line Drive that Halts Softball Game

CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham softball pitcher Melissa Landry was taken away by ambulance in the top of the fourth inning after she was hit in the face by a line drive hit off the bat of a Sparta player.

Sparta was leading the game, 1-0, when the game was halted at the middle school.

Sparta pitcher Taylor Mayer sent this message to Landry through TAP into Chatham's facebook page. Here it is with her permission to print it.
