Chatham players compete in Cooperstown

COOPERSTOWN, NY - The Chatham Cougars baseball team is set to meet the Michigan Bulls at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, in the U-12 baseball tournament being held at  the All-Star Village.

The 30-team field includes clubs from as far away as California, Florida and Canada. The teams arrived for Opening Day Ceremonies on Saturday, July 6, followed by skill competitions. Chatham posted the fifth-fastest time in the cutoff drill.

Chatham was represented by Mike Jesse in the home-run derby and Elijah Schwinghammer in the baserunning competition.
