Chatham Pole Vault Team of de Keyzer and Saluti Win Group 3 State Relay Title; Chatham Boys Place 6th Overall

TOMS RIVER, NJ - Chatham's pole vault relay team of Julian de Keyzer and Matt Saluti each set a personal record in teaming up to win the NJSIAA Group 3 state relay championship in the event on Sunday at the Bennett Center.

Chatham had 15 points to place sixth among more than 40 schools competing in the Group 3 relays.

Chatham won the pole vault relays with a combined height of 23 feet, with de Keyzer and Saluti each clearing 11 feet, 6 inches.

The Cougars also placed fourth in the distance medley relay with the team of Anthony Scerbo, Liam Cadden, Jack Burns and Bo Raadam clocking 10:56.4.

Chatham's sprint medley team came in seeded 22nd but Anthony Scerbo, Ian Higgins, Chris Landolfi and Liam Cadden improved their time by 11 seconds to finish sixth in 3:46.55.

Chatham's next meet is the Morris County Championship at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island on Wednesday.
