Chatham Police Help Search for Suspect After Wednesday Evening's 7-Eleven Armed Robbery in Berkeley Heights

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - On Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:01 p.m., the Berkeley Heights Police Department Communication Center received a report of an armed robbery at the 7-11 Convenience Store, located at 417 Springfield Ave. The actor is described as a black male, wearing red Adidas pants, black shirt, partially covered face, and carrying a black handgun. 

After committing the crime, the actor fled on foot. The Berkeley Heights Police Department, with the assistance of police officers from New Providence, Long Hill Township, Watchung, Warren, Chatham, the Union County Sheriff’s K9, the Union County Sheriffs Crime Scene Unit and State Police Aviation Unit assisted in the search and investigation. 

This matter remains under investigation by the Berkeley Heights Police Department Detective Bureau.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Patrick Moran at 908-464-1111.
