CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham resident Melina Kelley celebrated her 100th birthday on Wednesday, July 12 with family and friends. She was born in 1917.

Kelley is the wife of former Chatham Borough Fire Chief William R. Kelley Jr., who started the annual fishing derby held each year in Kelley's Pond behind Milton Avenue School.

Kelley's daughter, Margie Salin, also lives in Chatham.
