Chatham Residents Earn College Diplomas, Degrees


Chatham residents recently earned diplomas and degrees from various colleges and universities.

  • Kenneth Proska of Chatham was graduated from Champlain College with a BS degree in Computer. Network. & Cybersecurity on May 13, 2017. Champlain College's 139th commencement was held at Edmunds Field in Burlington, Vt. A total of 516 undergraduates received their associate and bachelor's degrees during the ceremony.
  • Chet McLaughlin of Chatham was graduated with a BA in Communications as Susquehanna University closed its 159th academic year with annual commencement exercises on May 17. A 2013 graduate of Chatham High School, McLaughlin is the son of Jamie and Mike McLaughlin.

  • Jillian Srygley of Chatham received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies - Interactive Media and Game Design from Marist College the weekend of May 19.

  • Chatham residents graduated from Clemson University at the May 2017 commencement ceremonies. They are: Emily A. Hoffman, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing; Rocco M. Iossa, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and William F. Munn, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. More than 3,400 students received degrees at the May 11 and 12 ceremonies.

  • Justin T. Engel and Morgan J. Buckley of Chatham were among the more than 800 bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 28 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Engel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and Buckley earned a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from The University of Scranton.

  • Bucknell University presented degrees to 895 graduates at Commencement on May 21, 2017, including Chatham residents Robert CoeAlexander Godziela, Matthew Lucciola and Elizabeth Suczewski.

  • Kiera Rosen of Chatham is now a graduate of Colgate University in the Class of 2017. Rosen majored in Biology. A graduate of Oak Knoll School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude at Colgate's 196th Commencement, May 21.

  • Hailey Madeline Myler of Chatham was graduated with a degree in health sciences from James Madison University during the May 5, 2017 commencement exercises. Myler was among more than 4,300 students who received undergraduate, master's, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

  • At its 216th commencement celebration, spanning multiple ceremonies the weekend of May 20 and 21, the University of Vermont conferred degrees on an estimated 3,228 graduates, including 2,620 bachelor's, 386 master's,106 doctoral and 116 medical degree recipients. The following Chatham residents earned degrees: Emma Cronin, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, and Megan Gesell, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art.

  • William Tomalonis of Chatham was graduated from Union College during the College's 223rd Commencement exercises. Tomalonis received a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude, majoring in History.

  • Loyola University Maryland recognized the following Chatham students from the class of 2017 at its Commencement Exercises held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Royal Farms Arena in downtown Baltimore. Caleigh Connelly received a BS degree in Biology/Psychology; Catherine Hollingsworth received a BBA degree in Accounting; Nina Krill received a BA degree in Economics; Tara LaCorte received a BSEI degree in Engineering; Daniel Marotta received a BBA degree in Accounting; Brendan Pierce received a BBA degree in Business Administration; Olivia Ortolani received a BA degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Science, and Neil Meuse received a BBA degree in Business Administration.

  • On Sunday, May 14, 2017, the following Chatham residents graduated from Emerson College in Boston: Anne Garbowitz recieved a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders and John Tancredi recieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio TV Production.

  • Olivia Kinder of Chatham was graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in history/women's & gender studies from Albright College on May 21, 2017.
