Chatham Robotics is hosting a FIRST Tech Challenge State Qualifying tournament in the Chatham High School A/B Gym this Sunday, November 24th. 

This is the Third Annual Robo-Tussle State Qualifying Tournament that Chatham Robotics is hosting. Twenty teams from across the Northwest region (Warren, Sussex, and Morris Counties) are expected to attend. Winners from this event will Advance onto the FIRST Tech Challenge New Jersey State Championship in March. 

The event kicks off at 8 a,m. and wraps up by 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. Robotics Club advisor Julie Ryan recommends coming after 10:30 am to see the most action, “since that's when the robot matches will begin.”

In the morning, the teams will do closed-door interviews with panels of judges and work to pass the robot inspections. Competitors will break for lunch around 12:00 or 12:30 and resume matches by 12:45-1:15. Matches will continue for the duration of the event.
