CHATHAM, NJ - Al Burgunder has resigned from the School District of the Chathams Board of Education. Volunteers to fill the position are asked to apply. Burgunder cited personal conflicts in his letter to the board.

"We're waiting to see who applies for the position before we make an appointment," Peter Daquila, business administrator and board secretary, said. "People should send letters of interest. It will take a few weeks before someone is picked to fill the opening."

Daquila reported that a recent audit showed that the board finances are clean and in robust condition.
