FREE TAX AID – Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Feb. 16 – Apr. 13. Trained AARP volunteers will complete tax returns and submit them electronically. Will also do tenant rebate and property tax rebate forms. Participants do not need to be Chatham residents or have an AARP membership. PROGRAM: SENIOR SCAMS – Monday, Mar. 6, 12:30 p.m. Come listen to Jane Mason, former FBI agent, as she discusses scams. Find out why they are targeting seniors, how to protect yourself against them and who to report them to. Sign up. Refreshments. Participants do not need to be Chatham residents. Our senior bus service is available to Chatham residents only.
GOLF CLINIC – Thurs., Mar. 9 – 30, 12:30 – 2 p.m. Series of four 90-minute lessons. Instruction includes improving swing, understanding the short game and hitting off the tee. Emphasis on drills. $75 for series or $25 for individual class. Must sign up. Limited class size. Instructor: Lou Ruina. Participants do not need to be Chatham residents.
PI DAY OBSERVATION - Friday, Mar. 10, at 12 p.m. Instead of celebrating math we’ll observe by eating pies, both savory and sweet. Followed by related-theme movie at 12:30pm. Event also includes brief presentation on Tri Town 55+ Coalition’s new transportation service available for area seniors. Must sign up. Either bring a pie or make a donation requested. DVD SPRING SERIES – Mondays, Mar. 13 – June 5, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. “Music as a Mirror of History” This 24-lecture series explores the fascinating and surprising connections between famous music and historic events. Each session consists of two 45-minute lectures. Some sessions will be accompanied by live piano performances by Bertha Mandel, our in-house professional pianist. No need to sign up. Participants do not need to be Chatham residents.
