Chatham Swimming Splits with Morristown on "Senior Night"

WARREN, NJ - The Chatham girls and boys swimming teams split with Morristown on "Senior Night," with the girls winning 117-53 and the boys losing, 126-44, on Wednesday at the Morris Union Jointure Pool.

Emily Gorham and Nicole Tingley led the way for the Chatham girls, now 8-1, by winning two individual events apiece and teaming up on two winning relay teams.

Gorham won the 50 freestyle in 25.46 and the 100 butterfly in 1:01.48. Tingley touched first with a 2:15.85 clocking in the 200 individual medley and also won the 100 freestyle in 56.50.

Gorham and Tingley teamed up with Margaret Harrigan and Jane Ewald to win the 200 freestyle (1:44.92) and the 400 (3:49.40) freestyle relays.

Harrigan placed first in the 200 freestyle in 2:01.13; Nina Barrett won the 500 freestyle in 5:21.77 and Alicia Iizuka took the 100 breasstroke in 1:08.00.
