Chatham Township Boy Scout Troop 121 Cleans Liberty State Park

Chatham Township Boy Scout Troop 121 braved rain and cold winds on Saturday, March 14th and participated in the Liberty State Park Service Project - Beach /Rip Rap Clean up.

Patriots’ Path Council has developed a program of service projects in Liberty State Park to benefit the park, Scouts and units attending the 2015 Liberty Jamboree. Patriots’ Path Council is sponsoring the Liberty State Park Jamboree.  Scheduled for October 2015, it is the first overnight scouting event in over a decade at Liberty State Park.

The campsites will have views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the New York City skyline. There will be live entertainment and Scouts from all over will be in attendance.

Troop 121 meets every Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township at 240 Southern Boulevard. For more information about Troop 121 contact Scoutmaster Dave Flynn at
