Chatham Township Police Department Promotes Herchick to Sergeant

CHATHAM, NJ - Scott Herchick, a Chatham Township resident, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and sworn in at the Chatham Township Committee meeting held Thursday night.

Herchick joined the department as a dispatcher in 2003 and then attended the police academy in 2006.

Herchick's wife, Tracy, and his three-year-old son participated in the swearing-in ceremony while fellow officers, friends and family watched.
