CHATHAM, NJ - On Nov, 22, 2017 at 10:57 p.m. Chatham Township officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Woodland Road. When they arrived two vehicles were found badly damaged and an injured driver standing on the side of the roadway.

An investigation determined that Patrick Reynolds, 50 of Chatham had lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. He then went across the front lawn of a residence and struck a parked vehicle in the driveway.

Reynolds, injured in the accident, refused medical attention at the scene. He was subsequently placed under arrest by Officer Ronald Anderson for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters. After processing he was released to a family member pending court action. Mr. Reynolds was charged with Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Driving While Intoxicated. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
