Chatham Township Police Make DWI Arrest

CHATHAM, NJ - On April 22 at 03:01 a.m. Sergeant Brad Hayworth stopped a vehicle on Green Village Road after witnessing the driver commit a traffic violation. After contact with the driver and subsequent roadside investigation, Michael Rampone, 24 of Mendham was placed under arrest by Sergeant Hayworth for Driving While Intoxicated.

He was transported to police headquarters, processed and later released. Summonses were issued for Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Keep Right and Reckless Driving. The vehicle was impounded for 12 hours in accordance with “Johns Law”. An April 26, 2017 court date has been set.

“All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law”
