CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham commuters took advantage of bus service to New York's Port Authority on Monday from the Chatham Train Station, which was provided by Boxcar to avoid the NJ Transit delays expected to run through Labor Day.
According to Steve Williams, Chatham Borough administrator, 25 commuters took the bus that left at 7:15 a.m. The commuter pick up and drop off signs for the bus were placed at the train station for the weekday service to New York.
"They had a 51-minute ride to the Port Authority in New York," Williams said. " NJ Transit trains were reported to be 20 minutes late to Penn Station."
