Chatham's Fazio Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Softball Team

LEWISBURG, PA - Bucknell University pitcher Amanda Fazio, a senior from Chatham, was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Softball team on Thursday.

Fazio, an Environmental Studies major with a 3.72 grade-point average, won accolades for her independent research project on international climate change.

Fazio pitches and hits leadoff for Bucknell. On the mound, she has 15 wins, a 1.72 ERA and four shutouts, having struck out 136 batters and issuing 21 walks. In her career, Fazio is the school record holder in strikeouts with 465, appearances with 120, innings pitched at 566 and ranks second in wins with 48.

As a hitter, Fazio is batting .358 for the Bisons with 59 hits, 31 runs scored and 23 stolen bases. She set the stolen base record as a junior for Bucknell with 26.
