Chatham's Panagakos Places 4th in High Jump at Morris County Girls Indoor Track Championships

STATEN ISLAND, NY - Melina Panagakos set a personal record in placing fourth for Chatham in the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 10 inches at the Morris County Girls Indoor Championships held Wednesday at the Ocean Breeze Park complex.

Chatham finished 12th overall as a team.

Chatham's 4x400 team of Katie Helman, Leila Kirton, Colleen Graham and Jess Vespasiano ran its fastest time of the season of 4:18.12.

Other Chatham highlights:

-Leila Kirton took 8th in the hurdles in a personal best of 8.23 and 11th in the 600 in another personal best of 1:47.75.

-Leigh McCaffrey placed 13th in the 3200 in a season's best 13:00.13

-Melina Panagakos placed 16th in the hurdles with a personal best 9.61

-Cat Madden placed 16th with a throw of 27 feet, 7.5 inches

-Julia Piness placed 16th in the 55 with a personal best of 7.94

-Kimmy Tomaino placed 18th with an indoor best throw of 26 feet, 9 inches

-Lauren Mumby placed 20th in the 1,000 in 3:29.57
