CHS hosts New Jersey FIRST Tech Challenge; Chatham's Webytes Places Second

CHATHAM, NJ - There were 25 schools represented at Chatham High on Sunday for the FIRST Tech Challenge. FIRST stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology."

Chatham had two entries in the competition for Grades 7 through 12. The Webytes placed second in the robotics challenge. Members of the Webytes included eighth-grade students Marie Field, Josh Smith, Alisha Shimpi, Edward Lam, Zach Krieger, Kieran Kraus.

The Locomotors, representing Chatham High, included Catarina DeMatos, Anthony Tesoriere, Amira Mouline, Sienna Li, Phillip Wu, John Swift, Vincent Li, Jeet Parekh, Justin Sherman and Carolyn Johnson.
