CHATHAM, NJ - Sergeant Ralph Colatrella was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant by the Chatham Borough Police Department and sworn in on Monday night at the regular meeting of the Borough of Chatham Council.

"His most commendable qualities are confidence, competence and his commitment to the personnel assigned under his command," Chatham Borough Police Chief Phil Crosson Jr. said.

Colatrella joined the Chatham Borough Police Department in 2003 and was promoted to sergeant in 2009. He has Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Bellevue University. Colatrella's yearly salary will be $142,719.03, which will be prorated for the rest of 2017.
