Dennerlein to Represent Chatham at NJSIAA Meet of Champions Track & Field Meet in the Discus

BAYVILLE, NJ - Chatham High sophomore Sam Dennerlein placed fifth in the discus at the NJSIAA Group 3 Championships held over the weekend at Central Regional High, earning a spot at the track and field Meet of Champions set for Saturday at Northern Burlington High.

Dennerlein threw the discus 150 feet. He also finished 11th in the Group 3 shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 2.5 inches.

Other to Chatham performances at the Group 3 meet included Liam Cadden, who placed 12th in the 800-meter run in 2:00.28; Avery Brown, 10th in the 200-meter dash in 22.62; Colin Logsdon, 15th in the 3,200-meter race in 9:47, and Kristian Roos, 22nd in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.49.

Chatham's 4x800 team of Liam Cadden, Anthony Scerbo, Jack Burns, and Alex Williams placed 18th in 8:30.13.

The Cougar 4x400 team posted its best time of the year with Mike Culleton (52.5), Jack Burns (PR split of 52.9), Anthony Scerbo (51.5) and Sam Viola (50.9.) finishing 18th in 3:27.89.
