Deputy Mayor Karen Swartz Dedicated to Chatham Township

To the Editor:

I’m writing to show my support of Karen Swartz’s bid for a second term on the Chatham Township Committee. Although currently a resident of the Borough, my family and I have also lived in the Township for many years, and I support Karen because I know that what impacts the Township also impacts the Borough. I would like to see a strong candidate like Karen continue to serve on the Township Committee.

I’ve known Karen for 15-plus years, as our sons were classmates and teammates from elementary school forward. Karen is smart, has a generous spirit and a positive outlook. She is passionate about our community and has tirelessly devoted time and energy not only on the Township Committee, but also in various roles at St. Patrick Church and with our local Kiwanis Club.

Words can be impressive, but more important are actions. The Chathams have witnessed first-hand Karen’s dedication to her role on the Township Committee. They’ve seen that she is a collaborator and a problem-solver; that she’s passionate about Chatham, yet levelheaded. Residents that have seen Karen in action or read of her stances know that she is articulate and knowledgeable about the issues facing
Chatham. She’s also a careful listener.

When it comes time to vote on November 7th, I encourage residents of Chatham Township to re-elect Karen Swartz to a second term on the Township Committee.
