DRIP Coffee Opens on Main Street in Chatham; Fills Void Left By Cafe Beethoven Closing

CHATHAM, NJ - There is no sign on the front yet, but Chatham residents are finding their way to the DRIP coffee shop, which opened on Main Street Thursday.

"Yes, I'm very excited to have DRIP in Chatham," Erin, a Chatham resident, said. "I've been going to the Madison one for about a year now so it's nice to have one in town that I can walk to."

DRIP has taken over the old Cafe Beethoven space, a Chatham staple for 35 years before closing its doors in March.

DRIP coffee is awaiting approval from Chatham Borough before it can put up its new signage, so balloons are the only visible indication on the outside that the shop is open.

"I always went to the one in Madison," Debbie, a Chatham resident said. "I'm here to support the one in Chatham and I wish them well."
