CHATHAM, NJ - On Nov. 13 at 9:31 p.m., Patrolman Andrew Pereira responded to the area of Lafayette Avenue and Chatham Street on a report that a car struck a utility pole and left the area.
Upon arrival in the area, the car was gone, however, a witness provided a description and a partial license plate number of the car. A few minutes later, a Chatham Township patrol located the car on Shunpike near Rose Terrace. The driver of the car was identified as David Drury, age 51 of Chatham Township. Drury was issued the following summonses: Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report an Accident and Use of a Cellphone While Driving.
