CHATHAM, NJ - The fifth annual "Stay Strong Michael" Red Cross blood drive is set for Sunday, Dec. 9 at Chatham High School.
Chatham's Michael DiMaggio was severely injured when he was struck by a car while walking on a Main Street sidewalk, the American Red Cross has turned the anniversary of the accident into a positive with the fifth annual blood drive in his honor.
The blood drive will be held in the Chatham High cafeteria, 255 Lafayette Ave., on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
DiMaggio, now a sophomore in high school, has made tremendous progress since the 2014 accident.
