Former Committee Member Endorses Rez Estevez for Chatham Township Committee

To the Editor:

I am pleased to endorse Rez Estevez and Mike Kelly in the Republican primary for Chatham Township Committee.

Rez will bring a breath of fresh air to the Committee. The perennial problem facing Township residents is lack of parking at the train station, and the Township Committee has never addressed the shortage in a meaningful way. Rez has fresh ideas to increase access to the train station for Township residents.

Rez has pledged to be an inclusive leader who will listen to all residents. She will be a fierce advocate for fiscal discipline. She will keep taxes low while maintaining and improving quality services for residents.

The largest issue facing the town is its constitutional obligation to provide affordable housing. With her background as an attorney, Rez will help guide the Committee and lead the community to develop a consensus for the best approach for the Township.

I had the opportunity to work with Mike Kelly on the Township Committee for two years. He brings a level-headed approach to government, seeking to find compromise and solutions that will serve the long-term interests of Township residents.

Please vote for Rez and Mike on June 6th.
