Gorham Powers Chatham Girls Swimming to 9th Straight Morris County Championship

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Senior Emily Gorham won two individual events and swam on two winning relay teams for the Chatham girls swim team, which won its ninth straight Morris County Championship on Saturday at Morristown High.

Chatham kept its streak alive by racking up 295.5 points. Morristown was second with 247 points.

Gorham teamed up with Jackie Crater, Alicia Iizuka and Nicole Tingley in winning the medley relay in a Morris County meet record time of 1:59.98, erasing the mark of 2:01.51 set last year by Mendham.

Chatham closed out the meet with its 400 freestyle team of Margaret Harrigan, Carolina Paulson, Tingley and Gorham touching first in 3:58.68.

Gorham won the 200 freestyle in 2:05.3 and the 400 free in 4:25.4.

Tingley placed third in the 200 individual medley in 2:25.36 and was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:04.25.
