CHATHAM, NJ - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy's first budget introduced this week will mean a 7.8 percent rise in state funding for the School District of the Chathams.

According to Chatham Superintendent Michael LaSusa, Chatham "will receive an increase of $169,154, or 7.8 percent, in state aid for fiscal year 2019."

LaSusa calculates that it will "put us at approximately $2.34 million, which is roughly $650,000 less than we were receiving in 2009/2010."
