Hamilton, Bigham, Walsh Lead Chatham Girls X-Country at Bernie Magee Class Meet

ELIZABETH, NJ -  Julie Hamilton won her second individual medal of the season, running 14:08, and Abbie Bigham was right behind her placing second in 14:19, as the Chatham freshmen took gold for the second time this season at the Bernie Magee Class Meet held on Saturday at Warinanco Park.

Sarah Abbott (11th place in 14:39), Maggie Schneider (18th place in 14:55), and Allison Green (39th place in 15:38) helped seal the freshmen victory in the 3600-meter race.

In the race that included more than 200 girls, the Chatham freshman had 51 points, more than 30 points better than their next competitor.

The Chatham junior girls placed fourth in a field of 27 teams in their 5250-meter race. Their average time was 21:42.  The three scoring runners were Laura Walsh (9th place in 20:53), Katie Steffens (30th place in 22:00) and Margot Cosgrove (34th place in 22:15).

Chatham's Meghan LeMon Awarded Degree from Miami University in Ohio

OXFORD, OH -- Meghan LeMon of Chatham was among more than 3,900 students from Miami University who received degrees during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Millett Hall.

LeMon graduated MAGNA with a BA degree, majoring in Speech Path & Audiology.

Considered one of eight original "Public Ivies" in the country, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio.
