Hauck PR of 16:33.60 Leads Chatham Boys X-Country Over Delbarton, Montville

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - Senior co-captain Grant Hauck set a personal record of 16:33.60 over the 5,000-meter course to lead the Chatham Boys Cross-Country team to victories over Delbarton and Montville on Wednesday at Morris County Park.

Hauck had the second-best time overall out of 150 runners, with Jordan Earlywine of Delbarton clocking in at 16:26.10. Hauck's average mile time was 5:19.8.

Chatham defeated Delbatton, 24-32, and topped Montville, 16-44, with an average team time of 16:51.06.

Senior Will Mitchell was third in 16:41.60 for Chatham, followed by junior teammate Liam Hynes, who ran 16:43.70 for fourth place.

The other top finishers for Chatham included Pat Mortensen (17:02.50), Kevin Gesell (17:13.90), Luke Malanga (18:05.40), Billy Schneider (18:36.90), and Harris Eisenhardt (18:58.40).

In the Frosh/JV race the overall winner out of all 15 teams present was Chatham's Colin Logsdon in 8:59. Chatham's top finishers included: Bill Galagher was 5th in 9:34.5; Will Sands 23rd in 10:06, David Valeri 37th in 10:22 and Armen Panossian was 40th in 10:26. Unofficially the Frosh score vs. Delbarton was Chatham 21;  Delbarton 34.
