Dalton Loftin and Kevin Shuster led the team with 11 hits each and Hunter Bigham had 10 RBIs in the five-game stretch.  Bigham, Lofton and Shuster also led the team with eight runs scored each.

In the first game of the tournament on Saturday morning, Chatham dropped a close contest to a very solid Ramsey team by a score of 8-5. The Cougars then beat Roxbury by a score of 15-5 in the second game. Chatham finished up pool play on Sunday afternoon by rallying from six runs down to beat Bayonne by a score of 10-8 to advance to the NJ Mayhem semifinals in Long Hill.

In the semifinals on Sunday evening, Chatham beat Basking Ridge in four innings to advance to the finals. They went on to defeat Ramsey, the team they lost to in the first game of pool play, by a final score of 11-1 in four innings to win the tournament.

In the semifinal and final games Chatham's pitchers dominated from start to finish. Loftin, Michael MacAniff and Will Young combined to scatter just three hits, three walks and one run while striking out a total of six batters across both games. The pitchers were assisted by several outstanding defensive plays by Brady Byrne and Kellen Storey in the final two games to win the tournament.

In addition to helping to bring home the hardware for their team at the NJ Mayhem Tournament, Caden Gabriele and MacAniff represented Chatham U9 White in the New Providence Gold League All-Star game on July 22nd in Union.

On Friday evening before the NJ Mayhem Tournament, Chatham knocked off Madison in the New Providence Gold League playoffs. Facing the top overall seed (of 38 total teams in the New Providence Gold and Green League U9 playoffs), Chatham rallied for 13 runs in the top of the 8th inning to secure a 21-10 win.

MacAniff led the way at the plate for the Cougars, going 5 for 5 at the plate with 5 RBIs and two runs scored.  Byrne, Gabriele, Ryan Leach and Storey each reached base at least three times in the contest. Braden Lutz led off the 8th-inning rally with a hit to ignite the 13-run outburst. Later in the inning, Marty Hindelong knocked in what would ultimately be the winning run for Chatham in the marathon contest.

Leach, Loftin, Luke Doroski and Young kept Madison in check on the mound. Leach started the game and went three full innings yielding just one hit and one walk. Doroski and Young both came in to pitch in very high pressure situations to shut down Madison rallies in the bottom of the 6th and 7th innings, respectively, to extend the game.

Chatham U9 White players are Brady Byrne, Hunter Bigham, Luke Doroski, Caden Gabriele, Marty Hindelong, Ryan Leach, Dalton Loftin, Braden Lutz, Michael MacAniff, Kevin Shuster, Kellen Storey and Will Young.
