CHATHAM, NJ - Bonnie Kennedy hit two home runs and Camryn Davies had four hits to highlight a 15-hit outburst that sent the Chatham softball team to an 11-1 win over West Morris Friday on "Senior Night" at Shunpike Field.
"The last couple games we've been a little bit off offensively, so it was nice that we were able to come back and get our bats working again," Kennedy said. "We needed the win."
Kennedy scored three runs and knocked in two with her two solo home runs for Chatham (15-8).
"My first home run probably would have been a double if there was a fence," Kennedy said. "The second one would have definitely been over the fence."
Shortstop Davies was 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBI for the Lady Cougars. Sarah Stubeck knocked in two runs for Chatham, which received two hits and an RBI apiece from Morgan Pellegrin and Hallie Pellegrin. Senior Amelia Hoffman had a single and an RBI.
Senior pitcher Melissa Landry (10-6) allowed three hits and no earned runs in the five-inning win for the Lady Cougars.
