Kirton Breaks Her Own Record in 2nd-Place Finish at Morris Couinty Championships

MADISON, NJ - Chatham's Simone Kirton broke her own school record in placing second in the 55-meter hurdles on Thursday at the Morris County Championships held at Drew University.

Kirton finished with a time of 8.77, bettering her mark of 8.88.

Colleen O'Neill of Chatham placed fifth in the pole vault by clearing 9 feet. Chatham's 4x400 relay team of Laura Barber, Emily Wingate, Julia DiSalvio and Lia Ferrone ran a season-best time of 4:24.01 to finish ninth overall.

In other highlights for Chatham, Laura Walsh placed 11th in the 1000-meter run in 3:18.54 and Alex Frenzel ran the 600 in 1:46.3 to earn 12th place.
