Kirton, Madden Set Personal Bests for Chatham Girls Track at Wayne Valentine Invitational

Leila Kirton set a personal best in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:48.72 in the Valentine Invitational Credits: TAP Chatham

MADISON, NJ - Leila Kirton and Cat Madden each set a personal record for the Chatham girls track team in earning sixth-place finishes at the Wayne Valentine Invitational held Thursday at Drew University.

Kirton ran 1:48.72 in the 600 and Madden threw the shot put 28 feet, 3 inches.

7th place: Melina Panagakos in high jump with an indoor best of 4 feet, 8 inches.

10th place: Kimmy Tomaino with a personal best indoor throw of 26 feet, 4.75 inches

11th place: Julia Piness in the 55 breaking the 8-second barrier with a 7.96

13th place: Julia Piness in the 55 hurdles in 9.68
