"Last Call at the Oasis"

“Last Call at the Oasis” examines the looming global water crisis and what can be done to avoid it. A number of leading scientists have produced evidence suggesting the amount of potable water is diminishing at a significant rate. As we know, parts of the western United States and Australia are currently suffering from drought. The film features expert interviews, including Erin Brockovich, who talks at length about the pollution case that was adapted into the popular film that bears her name and comedy sketches (some featuring Jack Black). Last Call at the Oasis offers hopeful solutions, examining what can be done to help save our freshwater supplies. The film focuses mostly on American stories.

Come watch and discuss this film on Thursday, November 6, at 7:30 pm at the Library of the Chathams, 214 Main St.  Free admittance and refreshments.
