To help contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and with caution and public safety in mind, the Library of the Chathams will be closed to the public from Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29 at the earliest. All library events scheduled during this period have been canceled and will be rescheduled whenever possible.
Any materials that you have checked out from the library can be kept fine-free through April 30, or longer if needed. Stay home safe and keep your items as long as you need.
We will have limited services available at the library. You will be able to call the reference desk for information 973‑635‑0603 and pick up your reserved items in the back vestibule.
We urge the public to take full advantage of the wide array of online resources available at your library. Go to https://chathamlibrary.org/ to check out a wide selection of eBooks, audiobooks, movies and magazines, including books and movies for children, all free with your library card.
Thank you for your understanding. This is a constantly evolving situation, and we will provide updates on our website as soon as they are available. We hope to see you at the library soon, and wish everyone good health!
