Lil' Reading Scientists 1 Year Celebration

 

Lil’ Reading Scientists, 641 Shunpike Road, Chatham, will celebrate their one year anniversary with special events for children and parents on April 30, 2011 between the hours of 10:00-3:00! From 10:00-10:45, children ages 4 & 5 are invited to sample an Alphabet learning class. From 11:00-11:30, Children’s Author Sharon Debowski will offer a story time and a book signing.  Live children’s music will be offered at 11:30 and 1:30. Children ages 5 & 6 can sample a Beginning Reading class from 12:00-12:45. Story Time for children ages 2 ½ - 6 will occur from 1:00-1:30. Finally, from 2:00-3:00, a “Chat with the Experts” session will occur with Reading Specialist Jenelle Erickson Boyd Director of Lil’ Reading Scientists and Assistant Director of Lil’ Reading Scientists Alison DeNero, M.Ed.  Throughout the day, parents may stop in and tour the center, pick up a brochure, and schedule a FREE reading screening for their child.

Lil’ Reading Scientists is a literacy learning center offering small group classes and individual tutoring in the areas of reading, writing, spelling, reading comprehension, and reading fluency through the Orton Gillingham Method. The center also offers toddler language enrichment programs and Kindergarten Enrichment for children attending half day kindergarten programs. Free literacy screenings are available by calling the center at 973-822-3200.
