CHATHAM, NJ - Republican Jim Lonergen has decided not to seek a fourth term on the Borough of Chatham Council and will be replaced by Bob Weber on the Nov. 7 ballot.
Lonergan will complete his ninth year on the council before stepping down in January.
"All the necessary paperwork has been filed," said Lonergan of having Weber replace him on the November ballot.
Steve Coffey, also seeking a first term on the Chatham Borough Council, will run for one of the two open seats on the Republican ticket. Democrats Thad Kobylarz and Jonathan Wilcox oppose them.
